The Link is a youth and adult led Minneapolis based nonprofit organization which provides a continuum of innovative inclusive programs, case management and supportive services to youth and families transitioning away from homelessness, sexual exploitation and the juvenile justice system.
The Link works with nearly 2,000 youth and families each year to overcome the impacts of poverty and social injustice. The Link envisions a community supporting all youth in having equitable access and opportunity.
The Link was founded in 1991 in North Minneapolis by two former Minnesota Vikings players and African American community leaders, Jim Marshall and Oscar Reed. They shared a vision of bringing opportunity and positive relationships to disempowered youth living in impoverished neighborhoods. This grassroots initiative has since blossomed into an experienced youth service organization serving the community through advocacy, housing, education, and intervention services.
Social MPLS is proud to donate $5 from every Blue Anti Racist Social Club tee to support The Link and their community development efforts in the Twin Cities.
